Welcome to my blog! Today's a really special day for me. My latest Bookouture book, The Forgotten Children was released this morning, so is now available to buy on Amazon and all reputable online retailers. It is available in both ebook and paperback. It has already had some great reviews from bloggers and Netgalley reviewers and is currently climbing the Amazon UK charts. The publication day flowers are courtesy of the fabulous team at Bookouture by the way!
The Forgotten Children is the heartbreaking story of Jewish twins separated from their parents, and is set in Paris and Berlin during the second world war.
In other news...
The Lake Villa, the latest book in my Oriental Lake Collection, was launched on March 1st this year. The Collection also includes The Lake Pavilion, The Lake Palace, and The Lake Pagoda. They're all standalone stories and can be read in any order. The Lake Villa is set in French Indochina, near Angkor Wat, on the great Cambodian lake, Tonlé Sap. I have been working with voiceover artist, Rebecca Sharp on the audiobook which will be available shortly.
What I'm working on..
I'm currently working on my next book, The Fortune Teller of Kathmandu, which is set in Nepal, India and Burma during the Burma Campaign in WW2. In part it tells the little-known story of the Wasbies, the Women's Auxiliary Service, Burma, a group of intrepid women who braved danger and hardship to operate canteens for front-line troops in Burma. It has been fascinating finding out about them and reading some first hand accounts. I'm hoping to release that book through Andaman Press in late summer/early autumn and will keep you updated on progress.
I've just come back from a fact-finding trip to Nepal, where I visited Kathmandu, the Kathmandu valley, Pokhara and the foothills of the Annapurnas, all of which are locations in the book. More details to follow in my next blog....
